Quick Update: Tin Can Audio On Spotify

Greetings!
This is a quick update about some things that have been happening with us on Spotify.
The first is that you might have noticed that about half the episodes of The Tower are missing on Spotify. This is because they have been removed as Spotify believes they might, might, contain copyrighted material (they don't).
We're working with Spotify to try and resolve the problem, but progress is moving slowly. The episodes are still available on all other podcatchers, it's just Spotify that's affected.
The second update is that, over the next few weeks I will be taking all Tin Can Audio music releases from Spotify.
This has been a decision I've been considering for some time considering Spotify's abysmal treatment of the musicians that make up its platform. The service has recently become flooded with AI generated tracks while paying real artists $0.003 a stream.
The CEO of Spotify, Daniel Ek, recently spent $700 million of his Spotify fortune to invest in an AI arms company. I can't stomach the idea of my music being used to fund instruments of destruction.
As much as I understand 'no ethical consumption under capitalism' I believe we have responsibility to make positive changes that make things less worse when presented with the opportunity, and this is something I can do.
This is an easy decision for me to make as most of my income comes from elsewhere, and I hold no ill-will towards anyone who is unable to make the same move. Spotify has entrenched itself as the landlord of music, and it's going to take a long time to untangle that.
All of the releases are still available on Bandcamp to listen and download for free or pay-what-you-decide.
In conclusion:
Fuck Spotify
Fuck AI
Fuck Arms Companies
Free Palestine
Thank you
